How Litchfield Hills Home Desk works

We're a referral service. We don't install generators, don't employ installers and don't hold a contractor's license. Here is exactly what we do.

What happens to your request

1. You send the form or call. Calls may be recorded for quality and you'll hear a notice first.
2. We check the request is in Litchfield County or just over the line, and is about a standby generator.
3. We pass it to one installer who serves your town, normally within one business day.
4. The installer contacts you to arrange a site visit. Any quote, price and contract is between you and them.
5. We may contact you afterwards to ask whether they reached you. That's how we decide who keeps receiving requests.

How installers are chosen

Before an installer receives requests, we confirm the Connecticut licenses the work requires (electrical, and gas piping where they do it themselves) and keep a copy of their liability insurance certificate. They must install standby generators as a core part of their business and agree to contact you promptly. If homeowners tell us an installer didn't call back, they stop receiving requests.

How we're paid

Installers may pay us for referrals. You never pay us. We don't rank or recommend installers in exchange for payment, and we don't sell your information to other companies.

For installers

We work with one standby generator installer per area and are looking for licensed installers serving the Northwest Corner (Salisbury, Sharon, Cornwall, Kent, Canaan, Norfolk) and the New Milford to Torrington corridor. Requests are exclusive. Email partners@litchfieldhomedesk.com with your license numbers, brands and service area.
